NYC Board of Elections President Fined $10K For Helping Daughter’s Beau Land Three Different Jobs With Board

Jennifer Fermino reports in the NY Daily News that “the president of the troubled board was fined $10,000 after helping his daughter’s live-in boyfriend land three different jobs with the board.

Michael Michel was the Queens Republican commissioner when he helped his daughter’s boyfriend Joseph Cintron land his first gig with the BOE in April 2013.

Michel handed Cintron’s resume in “for consideration” of a $24-an-hour temp job in the executive office, according to the three-page settlement released Thursday by the City’s Conflict of Interest Board.”
