In Senate Battle, de Blasio Fundraiser Raised Untraceable $50K

The Times Union’s Chris Bragg reports on  allegations that “New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s chief fundraiser procured a publicly untraceable $50,000 donation to help Senate Democrats wrest control of the key district.

On April 7, the $50,000 went to a local political party that was backing Democratic Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky, a former federal prosecutor.

Kaminsky appears to have narrowly edged his GOP opponent in the election last week, and the win on the GOP’s Long Island stronghold puts Democrats on the precipice of taking control of the Senate in November.”
