Albany County Lawmakers Reject Placing Downsized Legislature On Ballot

Via the Times Union, Rebecca Fries reports that  “Albany County voters will get to vote on revisions to the county charter in November, but not on the always contentious issue to downsize the 39-member legislature.

Legislators voted 20-15, with three absentees and one abstention, to put mostly minor charter changes proposed by Loudonville Republican Peter Crouse on the fall ballot.
