In another legal setback for Republican congressional candidate Jack Martins, a federal court has denied his request to stop sending absentee ballots to voters in the Queens-Nassau-Suffolk district. As reported in Newsday by Michael Gormley, Martins case “will be heard in federal court Sept. 14 under an expedited process, according to an appeals court decision that also rejected Martins’ attempt to suspend the mailing of absentee ballots.”
