Bill Seeks To Take The ‘Independence’ Out Of Independence Party

Senators James Skoufis and Alessandra Biaggi are looking to remove “independence” from the Independence Party name. targeting the Independence Party, a controversial minor political party that even many of its own members don’t realize is an actual party, by trying to remove “independence” from the name. Should Polling Places Be Allowed In New York’s Schools?

Senator Todd Kaminsky is sponsoring legislation to “to relocate or remove polling places from schools — an idea that first began circulating around Albany in 2014 following several high-profile school shootings and threats of terrorism.” Similar legislation is also being sponsored by Senator Robert Ortt and Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso. New Group Pushing Automatic Voter Registration In New York
